What writte.ai does with your audio, documents and insights

You upload the recording of a talk, interview, meeting or podcast. The platform transcribes it, writes a new text in your brand's style and hands it to you in the editor to refine and publish — to LinkedIn, a blog or the brand profile — or share with your team. This page details every feature, with the formats, limits and languages the platform actually accepts.

  • Up to 100 MB per audio file
  • Portuguese, English, Spanish
  • Transcribe, write and edit

We describe only what is live today. Where a limit exists, it is written down; where the platform does not do something, we say that too.

Eight features, in detail

Each block describes what the feature does in practice, with its limits spelled out, instead of a generic promise.

01

Faithful audio transcription

The whole file goes to transcription: you never have to cut a two-hour talk into pieces before uploading it. The transcript comes back organized, separating who speaks and timing every passage, in the language you picked at upload.

  • Accepts MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, AAC, OGG, OPUS and WEBM, up to 100 MB per file.
  • Speech is separated per speaker and time-stamped, word by word.
  • The audio language is picked at upload: Portuguese, English or Spanish.
02

Articles written by the AI

The text is not a summary of the transcript: the AI writes a new article out of it, with editorial craft and in the language you choose at creation. Generation runs in the background, so you keep working and get told when the article is ready.

  • Generation runs on a queue and several jobs are processed in parallel.
  • A generation that fails uses no quota and can be attempted again.
  • The article language is independent of the language you use the app in.
03

Your brand's writing style

A style holds the instruction that governs tone and structure, plus an optional target length in characters. Set it once and every article follows it, and at each generation you can still add one-off instructions meant only for that particular request.

  • One style per client, per channel or per spokesperson, picked per article.
  • The target length in characters is optional and acts as a reference.
  • The platform ships ready-made styles, usable without authoring yours.
04

Persona for whom you write

The persona describes who the text is for: role, context, familiarity with the subject, what they want to take away and what makes them stop reading. The AI uses this to keep the explanation level, choice of examples and cut right.

  • One primary persona defines the target reader; a secondary one acts as a constraint, never as a second audience of equal weight.
  • AI-assisted fill from a brief about the desired reader.
  • The AI uses the persona to adjust explanation level, examples and what should be cut.
05

Knowledge that grounds it

There are two layers. The modules written by professional writers ship with the platform and guide the writing craft. Your own base is optional: they are your operation's documents, whose text is extracted and used as context for that article.

  • Accepts PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD and PNG, JPG, WEBP and GIF images, up to 100 MB.
  • You attach whichever documents you want per article, and none is required.
  • With no document attached, the AI works from the audio and style alone.
06

Synthesis of many sources

One article can take several recordings as sources, and also articles you have already written on the platform, as long as everything sits in the same folder. The AI synthesizes them into a new text with its own thread, rather than splicing excerpts.

  • Combine as many recordings from a folder as you like into one new article.
  • Articles you already wrote come back as sources for new material.
  • Long material is condensed while facts, names and numbers are kept.
07

Editing and collaboration

The article lands finished in the editor, and from there it is yours: type by hand, ask the AI to rewrite passages, or generate the article again with different instructions. Then share the text with your team or your client, per article or per whole folder.

  • Select a passage, describe the change, see the preview and apply it.
  • Regenerating the whole article with new instructions uses 1 quota unit.
  • Sharing is granted per article or per folder, and can be revoked later.
08

Approval and publishing

Approval is the content's exit gate. Before anything goes out, the text is explicitly approved; after that it can be sent to WordPress or LinkedIn, or shared through the brand's public profile and secure links with the right readers.

  • Approval is the only door outward: nothing leaves without explicit authorization.
  • Each organization sets up its own publishing channels, with separate destinations per blog or campaign.
  • WordPress receives the article as a draft; LinkedIn publishes live.

Everyone sees only what they need

Access is granted by invitation and per folder, not by a blanket permission. Whoever uploads audio never sees the editing, and the client receives only the finished text.

Owner and admin

Configures the organization: integrations, policy, quotas and folder access.

Writer

Creates and edits articles, registers styles and knowledge and decides who joins each folder.

Collaborator

Writes and edits inside the writer's workspace, without inviting anyone or managing access.

Uploader

Uploads audio to the folders they were invited to and sees nothing beyond their own uploads.

Partner

Uploads audio and follows the folder's finished articles, without editing anybody's text.

Client

Reads only the finished articles that were shared with them, with no audio and no transcript.

Audio and transcript restricted

Audios and transcripts stay restricted to the writer and their team. Uploader, partner and client only access the approved final content.

Frequently asked questions

The questions that come up before starting, answered with the platform's real limits.

Which audio formats does the platform accept?
MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, AAC, OGG, OPUS and WEBM, up to 100 MB per file. There is no duration limit and the whole file goes to transcription, so you never have to cut the recording up first. You pick the audio language at upload.
How long does it take for an article to be ready?
Generation runs in the background: you keep using the platform and get told once the text is ready. We do not promise a fixed time, because it depends on how much material there is and on the current queue, but several jobs run in parallel.
What if the recording is a two-hour long talk?
It goes in whole, with no slicing. If the material exceeds what fits in one generation, each long source is condensed before the writing starts, preserving facts, names, numbers and quotes, and the editor flags that it happened on that article.
Does writte.ai publish straight to my site or blog?
No. The platform does not connect to a CMS, WordPress or social networks, and it does not schedule posts. The final text is copied, downloaded or shared by link with your team and your client, and publishing happens in the tools you already use.
How does writte.ai know who the text is for?
Through a reader persona: you register who the reader is — role, familiarity with the subject, what they want to take away, objections and who they are not — and the AI uses this to adjust the explanation level, choice of examples and what to cut. You can have one primary persona and, when it makes sense, a secondary one as a constraint.
How do I define the tone of voice of my brand?
Through a writing style: an instruction of yours that governs tone and structure, with an optional target length in characters used as a reference. You can keep one style per client, per channel or per spokesperson and pick one for each article.
What kind of files does the knowledge base accept?
PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD and PNG, JPG, WEBP and GIF images, up to 100 MB each. The text is extracted from every file, images included by having the AI read them, and used as context. Links and web pages are not accepted: the way in is always upload.
Can I merge several sources into a new article?
Yes. One article takes as many recordings as you want as sources, plus articles you have already written here, as long as everything sits in the same folder. The AI synthesizes them into a new text with its own thread, not spliced excerpts.
Who is able to see the audio and the transcripts?
Only the writer and their team. Uploader and partner just send audio to the folders they were invited to, and the client receives only the finished text, per article or per folder. Every share that was granted can be revoked afterwards.
Which languages does writte.ai write texts in?
Portuguese, English and Spanish. The audio language is picked at upload and the article's at creation, so a recording in English can become a text in Portuguese. The article language is set once, and there is no translation after generation.
Is my audio stored, and for how long is it kept?
It is kept in the platform's storage for as long as you keep it, so you can transcribe it again or use it as a source for other articles. Once you delete an audio file, it is permanently removed after 30 days, together with the original file.
How are the audio and article quotas counted?
Every writer profile has an audio limit and an article limit, 100 of each by default and adjustable by our team. An audio counts once its upload finishes and an article once generation succeeds, which means a failure costs you nothing at all.
Can I edit the text afterwards, with AI help?
Yes. You type by hand in the editor, or select a passage, describe the change and see a preview before applying it, so nothing is replaced without confirmation. Regenerating the whole article with new instructions uses 1 quota unit.
